RITFIT Review: Budget Smith Machines and Home Gym Gear Compared
RitFit sells budget home gym equipment, led by Smith machines and racks. We pulled together one independent hands-on review, the store's own policies and what we could not confirm.

This guide is a research-based review, not a hands-on test. We have not bought, built or lifted on RitFit equipment. Everything below comes from the store's own pages and one independent review, each linked, and we say plainly where we could not confirm something. Heavy equipment is a safety matter, so read the manual for your exact model.
Home gym equipment is expensive, bulky and awkward to return, so it pays to check a store before you buy. RitFit sells budget strength gear online, and its Smith machines are the products most people look at first.

How this review was made#
We read the RitFit homepage and return policy page, and one independent hands-on review by Garage Gym Reviews of the PSR05 Smith machine. We did not buy equipment, build it, or contact support. We tried to read the warranty page and could not load it, so we do not state warranty terms as fact.
What an independent tester found#
Garage Gym Reviews tested the RitFit PSR05 multifunctional Smith machine, priced at $489 on RitFit's site and $439 on Amazon at the time. It gave the machine 3.9 out of 5 and called it a "sleeper pick" for light to moderate use by one or two people.
What the reviewer liked:
Exceptional value for the price.
A lot of exercise options: pull-up bar, low row, lat pulldown, safety hooks and a landmine attachment are included.
Plate storage that doubles as a stability feature.
What the reviewer disliked:
"Very passive" knurling on the barbell, which gives poor grip.
The machine's height limits standing overhead pressing.
An inconsistent weight rating: the machine was advertised at 1,000 lb, but the manual stated 500 lb for the bar.
A wobble until the rubber feet were installed and secured.
An attachment limit of 165 lb, which stronger lifters would outgrow.
Components that feel cheap overall.
Assembly needs two people and was described as straightforward. Against a pricier Major Fitness power rack, the RitFit cost less but had lower capacity and a fixed bar path.
That is one model and one reviewer. It tells you what a typical budget RitFit looks like, not how every product performs.
Shipping, returns and support#
From the store's own pages:
Shipping: free in the US. We could not see delivery times or origin.
Returns: refund requests must be made within 35 days. Buyer-initiated returns need to be unopened and in the original packaging. RitFit pays return shipping if the product is seriously defective or the error is the store's. You pay if you are returning it for personal reasons such as not liking it. No restocking fee was mentioned. Sale items, gift cards and downloadable products cannot be returned. Orders can be cancelled within 12 hours.
Support: the site lists a phone number, an email address and weekday hours, Monday to Friday, 8am to 3pm Pacific.

Note the practical catch: a "35-day return" on something that weighs hundreds of pounds is only useful if you have not opened the box. If you build it and change your mind, you are paying to ship a heavy item back, if the store accepts it. We have not tested that process.
Warranty#
A retailer listing for a RitFit package states a 36-month warranty on the main steel frames and 12 months on accessories, and the store mentions "lifetime support". We could not read the warranty page, so we cannot confirm this. Ask for the exact terms in writing before you order.
Price and value#
Budget Smith machines are where RitFit is strongest on price. The tester's conclusion is useful here: value is high, but it comes from compromises in grip, finish and headroom. If you are a beginner or an occasional lifter, those compromises probably do not matter. If you are strong, lift heavy, or plan to use a machine for years, the lower attachment limits and the thinner build may.
Who should buy, and who should not#
Buy from RitFit if you want a versatile home setup on a tight budget, you lift light to moderate weights, and you will check the weight rating in the manual for your exact model.
Look elsewhere if you are a heavy lifter, you want a rack built for years of hard use, or you are unsure about the equipment and would not want to pay for a return.
The verdict#
RitFit looks like a genuine value option for a first or second home gym, backed by a clear 35-day policy and reachable support. The independent test supports "good value, with compromises" and so do we, with the caveat that our view rests on one review and the store's pages.
